Meet The Team

Zaynab Jiwani
Head Chair
Hey! I’m Zaynab Jiwani, a self-proclaimed art enthusiast with a passion for creating masterpieces that range from doodles on napkins to full-blown canvases. When I'm not busy unleashing my inner Picasso, you'll find me on the sports field, dodging soccer balls like a ninja or attempting slam dunks that are better suited for a giraffe. Oh, and did I mention my love for MUNs? Yes, I'm that person who thrives on debating everything from the ideal pizza toppings to the meaning of life.

Shohaima Akhtar
Co-Chair
Hi Delegates! I am Shohaima Akhtar, your Co-Chair for UNEP. While my official title may sound quite serious, rest assured that I am here to facilitate our discussions with diplomacy and a touch of humour. I hope this committee will be as (sustainable) as we aim our future resolutions to be. I look forward to working with each of you as we strive to tackle environmental challenges head-on armed with our wit, wisdom, and maybe a cup of coffee or two.

Azia Thajudeen
Co-Chair
As the Co-chair for AviMUN'24, my passion for diplomacy ignites a fervent dedication to fostering meaningful discourse and actionable solutions. Drawing from my background as an MUN enthusiast and aspiring international lawyer for the UN, I bring a multifaceted perspective to our committee. Much like the intricate narratives woven in literature, our discussions must delve into the complexities of crises and their intersection with international relations.
Hope to see you soon at the conference!
