The Economic and Financial Committee (ECOFIN) is the Second Committee of the United Nations General Assembly and is responsible for addressing global economic, financial and development issues. It covers a wide range of topics, including macroeconomic policies, sustainable development, poverty eradication, international trade, and the global financial system.

Greetings Delegates! I’m Madhav Narayan Sangeeth, and it’s an honor to serve as your chair alongside Amal Backer for the ECOFIN committee. As an alumnus of The Millennium School, Dubai, I’ve been passionately involved in Model United Nations for the past seven years. My deep-rooted interest in public speaking, debating, and MUN has been a driving force in my life. Beyond my commitment to MUN, I have a keen interest in swimming, Taekwondo, and playing the piano. I look forward to having a productive and engaging committee experience with the delegates.

I am Amal Backer, a gavel wielding MUN veteran with an incredible passion for movies, football and books. A firm believer that no committee is complete without resurrecting Hitler and stopping him for good once again, I look forwards to amazing committee sessions.
